As an Assistant Director, you’ll be responsible for managing project delivery, building strong client relationships, and supporting both internal and external growth initiatives. You’ll bring solid experience in corporate finance — on both buy-side and sell-side — and will have worked with private and public companies, owner-managed businesses, and private equity clients.
You will also be supported in developing specialist sector knowledge and leadership skills.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage client engagements from start to finish — define project scope, allocate resources, monitor budgets and timelines, and review deliverables.
- Lead the creation and review of key documents, including reports, financial models (Excel), and information memoranda (Word/PowerPoint).
- Oversee project teams, due diligence processes, and stakeholder communications.
- Assist Partners and Directors in refining service methodologies and offerings.
- Contribute to business development efforts, including pitching and proposal writing.
- Foster knowledge sharing, encourage innovation, and support internal training.
- Build and maintain trusted client relationships — often acting as the main point of contact.
- Play a key role in identifying new opportunities and converting them into client engagements.
- Represent the firm at marketing and networking events; champion our full range of services.
- Contribute to recruitment, training, and staff development within the Corporate Finance team.
- Mentor and coach junior team members, helping them progress toward their career goals.
- Manage team resourcing, performance reviews, and promotion recommendations.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong experience in both buy-side and sell-side advisory, with a proven track record of closing deals.
- ACA/ACCA qualification (or equivalent), or demonstrable relevant experience.
- Previous experience supervising or managing staff.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office — particularly Word and Excel.
- (For those working with listed clients) A working knowledge of applicable regulatory frameworks.
- Sector-specific experience is desirable.
